Job Description

The General Manager is completely responsible for the successful operation of the entire Body Shop operations including All Makes Glass and Wood Chip Auto Used.

The General Manager will develop and execute plans to ensure the overall Body Shop operations maintain an acceptable level of profit. The General Manager will accomplish all objectives through planning, motivating and coordinating the activities of all Body Shop operations.

In addition, the ideal candidate must:

  • Plan the Autobody Shop’s operations of the coming year and report the plan to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Monitor and maintain acceptable Gross Profit levels in all areas of the Body Shop operations
  • Monitor and maintain invoicing accuracies and Receivable accounts
  • Develop and maintain a good working relationship with our Insurance partners and industry related personnel
  • Formulate policies and establish procedures for all repairs practices and training programs.
  • Formulate practices to maintain industry certifications with I-CAR and OE Manufacturers certifications including but not limited to Ford, FCA Chrysler, Honda and Kia.
  • Oversee all Autobody Shop’s personnel functions, to include: interviewing, hiring, measuring and evaluating performance, recognizing accomplishments
  • Review the compensation plans for all employees with consultation with COO
  • Provide enthusiastic leadership to shape employees’ attitudes and build morale
  • Embrace long term strategies to ensure continued excellence in customer service and satisfaction
  • Support Dealership partners with timely repairs to meet their day to day operational requirements
  • Develop merchandising strategies and assist in creating an effective, cost-efficient advertising and industry marketing program

Qualifications:

  • Related management experience is considered an asset.
