Job Description

As a key member of the Sterne Acura team, the Delivery Specialist brings to life the Acura Concierge Experience. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the new and pre-owned Vehicle Delivery process, from the moment the customer purchases the vehicle. The Delivery Specialist always prepares the vehicle as per the customer requests, including all purchased options installed and features are fully operational.

The Delivery Specialist is self-motivated to be a product knowledge expert by keeping informed of new products, features, accessories, and the benefits to the customer. When delivering a vehicle to a customer, the Delivery Specialist working with all dealership departments ensures that every customer is completely satisfied with the delivery and performance of the vehicle. The successful individual will be responsible for personalizing each delivery through customer communication of preferred settings (bluetooth, Apple car play, Android auto, Acuralink, WiFi settings, custom settings and more).

The Delivery Specialist has an eagle eye for the details by ensuring all sales documentation and related paperwork has been correctly and fully completed. They introduce the customer to the Service department and all available Service staff.

Specific Responsibilities Develop strong relationships with customer • Greet customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner. • Ensure customer understands the vehicle’s operating features. • Sensitive to customer needs and flexible to re-scheduling. • Make sure customer is completely satisfied with vehicle. • Handle all customer queries and concerns with a genuine intent to solve their problem. Develop collaborative relationships • Strong team player who works with everyone towards dealership goals. • Work with dealership departments to ensure pricing is profitable and competitive. • Provide support to other departments as required. • Maintain frequent contact with manufacturer. Be detailed oriented
• Ensure all documentation/paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner. • Before Delivery, ensure vehicles are equipped with correct and functioning features. • Review and analyze actions regularly to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively. Develop and maintain full knowledge about the industry • Keep up to date with products, accessories, prices and key features of major competitors. • Keep up to date with Acura technologies. • Able to explain and demonstrate customer benefits of all Acura features and products. Commit to the Acura Brand • Stay up-to-date on the Acura training program. • Be able to explain technical features, options and their benefits. • Be knowledgeable about new features, specials and updates. • Be a champion for delivering excellent service 100% of the time. • Actively maintain the cleanliness of personal and team workspaces. • Maintain a high level of professional appearance.
