The Job: Automotive Service Adviser's responsibility is to listen and thoroughly understand customer problems, to arrange for an appropriate service level, and to set/manage expectations on the part of the customer and the technician. The candidate must have previous service advisor/customer service experience and the ability to: • Determine vehicles needs based on customer information, vehicle age, mileage, and a vehicle walk-around • Using a consultative selling process to assist customers in planning for on-going required maintenance of their vehicle • Producing repair orders for customers with full transparency including cost and time estimates • Communicating frequently with Technicians and Parts Associates to ensure timely completion of work • Follow-up with customers on the status of their vehicle, based on how the customer wants to be informed • Take 'ownership' and accepts accountability for delivering above average service levels and sales results • Make best-value repair recommendations based upon nature of the problem • Meet/greet customers in person or on the phone • Complete walk arounds • Make recommendations for preventative maintenance • Gaining superior product knowledge to effectively help customers with service maintenance requirements and warranty information ** The Qualifications required:** • 2 year’s previous working experience as a Service Advisor in an Automotive Dealership. • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract report. • Able to effectively communicate: verbally, in writing and listening. • Strong attention to detail. • Chrysler experience is considered an asset. • Able to manage people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times. • Post-Secondary diploma or equivalent • Must be able to work evenings and on Saturday's • Results driven with a customer focus • General mechanical knowledge • Well versed in CDK • Exceptional customer service skills • Proven track record in highest CSI scores • A positive attitude with the ability to work both in a team setting & independently
