Position Summary:

The Product Operations Manager is responsible for leading the coordination and implementation of product-related initiatives including project management, new product implementation, changes to existing products, and related business process changes requiring cross functional support and execution. This role supports product stakeholders by providing process support services, operational insights, and thought leadership within the context of Product Management and Delivery, so that they may excel in supporting the objectives of Cox Automotive and our customers.

Responsibilities: (including by not limited to)

  • Coordinates cross functional teams in developing and implementing shared and unique business processes to support general Product initiatives, including documentation and communications as needed.  Facilitates operational solutioning at a detailed level with cross functional teams.
  • Coordinates between, product, service, implementation, development teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure launch readiness projects stay on track. Interacts directly with key team members, prepares reports on status and issues, and drives commitment on the next course of action.
  • Gathers and analyzes operational product data. Extracts and summarizes management insights and KPIs from that data to deliver findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Schedules and conducts required meetings to keep all stakeholder teams (Product, Customer Support, Marketing, Instructional Design, Dev/Ops, and Sales) informed of latest projects and to provide a cross-functional venue for input, sharing ideas, and approval. Keeps stakeholders on task for deliverables, with clearly defined due dates and expectations.
  • Contributes to the Product Operations body of knowledge by gathering, evaluating and integrating the ideas, experiences, and deliverables of other Product Operations organizations both inside and outside of Cox Automotive.
  • Thinks analytically and strategically to solve complex operational problems, relying on strong interpersonal relationships and superior organizational skills to achieve successful delivery of initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing cross functional product implementation and/or launch initiatives in the B2B technology arena.
  • Automotive experience is strongly desired.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving, process development and project implementation.
  • Process Design/Implementation Skills – Can understand and assimilate the needs of various departments and/or stakeholder groups in the design and implementation of operational business processes and workflows across the entire scope of Product Development (Ideation through Retirement) .
  • Project Management Skills –  Set clear project objectives and define/organize required tasks and milestones to achieve objectives.  Track and report project progress, and hold task owners accountable for required outputs within established timeframes.
  • Analytic skills – Able to gather, analyze and summarize data to develop and deliver management insights and KPIs to product operations stakeholders.
  • Proven organizational skills; ability to multi-task and work on several assignments concurrently; detail oriented individual.
  • Ability to influence team members without direct authority across multiple office locations.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.
