The Logistics Supervisor will execute the day to day activity of their assigned driver fleet. This includes monitoring of all transport requests, the fleet, accurately distributing, receiving and updating information. The role is responsible for identifying and participating in the resolution of issues relating to day to day activity of the carrier group and driver staff is essential. The logistics manager must be well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness in carrying out daily activities. 

General responsabilities include managing, scheduling and coordinating all logistics transport services activities in Quebec for Ready Logistics. This position is responsible for coordinating all automotive highway 3rd party truck movements with origin or destination in Quebec; Managing all drive service staff and their activities in Quebec; Ensuring all transport related activities including but not limited to (customer service and support, order entry, fleet management, sales support, business development support, service level activity reporting) are in compliance with company policies and objectives for efficiency and profitability.

This position reports to the Senior Transportation Manager, Canada

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Transmitting and receiving of all information relevant to the 3rd party drivers performing his/her duties within the Company and customer requirements.
  • The handling of all shipment related+ messages or calls within assigned and overflow queues
  • Reporting and documenting of all customer service, planning and driver related issues to the appropriate personnel
  • Manage Logistics of All drivers and 3rd party carriers
  • Manage driver payroll and vacation planning
  • Oversee the dispatch of vehicles to assure that vehicles are handled in an expeditious manner.
  • Controls, verifies, and compiles all released paper work / documents, authorization of trip sheets, bills of lading, handling of vehicle inspection sheets and customs documents for drivers and 3rd party carriers.
  • Optimize load capacity, asset utilization runs and routing for all city and highway trips.
  • Compile line haul reports for review by the Senior Manager
  • Resolve customer complaints, inspections, and claims coordination with the sales and administrative functions.
  • This role will manage all aspects of the Quebec fleet its maintenance, fuel and licensing
  • Will be site rep for occupational health and safety
  • Handles customer communication on direct deliveries to offline points.
  • Competent knowledge of Highway traffic act, Hours of service, Vehicle inspection legislation etc.
  • Experienced in Cross border shipping, an asset (Familiar with ACE, FAST, Paps, Pars, Etc. )
  • Ideally Automotive Transport experience.
  • Other duties as required



  • Fluently Bilingual (French and English)
  • Post Secondary Education in Supply Chain Management (or other relevant area such as Business)
  • Dedicated experience providing customer service in a similar work environment
  • Well organized, an excellent communicator and have a keen sense of timeliness
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, communication, problem solving and planning abilities
  • Knowledge of Highway Traffic Act, hours of service logs, and regulations
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry and North American geography are considered assets
  • Knowledge of Loadlink will be an asset
  • Dispatching: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Management/Supervisory experience 
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • PLOG, CITT designation are assets
