The Process and Documentation Manager will analyze existing departmental and divisional business and operational processes with a goal towards overall process improvement and documentation of process and policy. They will recommend and provide improved methodologies resulting in enhanced quality, cost reductions and increased efficiencies/productivity. The candidate acts as an internal consultant to the business in defining business needs, determining strategies and developing plans/proposals that will lead to change initiatives such as process assessment, process Improvement, process definition and documentation across the organization. In addition to providing value added insights, it is accountable for delivering analysis, facilitating workshops, recommendations, and driving business transformation initiatives across the organization. This includes leveraging a variety of process methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5s and Design Thinking to enhance and optimize end-to-end business processes across CAC while ensuring the right controls are in place. The candidate will also audit the compliance of the processes. The Process and Documentation Manager will analyze existing departmental and divisional business and operational processes with a goal towards overall process improvement and documentation of process and policy. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assessment of an existing Process with possible or confirmed issues/inefficiencies, to include the development/refinement of a high-level process flow and root cause analysis of any issues, resulting in recommendations for improvement, if needed
  • Implementation of Process Assessment recommendations, including a dissection of root cause(s) of inadequate process performance, development of future state process flows, and the execution of solutions approved by the stakeholders
  • Assistance with the definition of new processes and documentation of processes
  • Manage the process flow including process measurement, analysis, and responding to request as needed
  • Collaborate with various departments in different locations to develop and execute effective processes
  • Apply leadership skills such as communication and change management to help drive key changes, and continuous improvement
  • Perform quality assurance routines on existing processes
  • Identify, plan, and implement process improvements to reduce costs and defects/errors, and detect trends with a goal towards continuous improvement
  • Designing end-to-end processes and workflow that maximize efficiency, with a strong focus on customers, team members and business at large
  • Guide and support the implementation of management approved recommended measures and initiatives (Policy and Process Deployment), document the workflow and follow-up on the workflow to ensure the expected efficiencies are realized
  • Ongoing needs assessment of the department, division and organization of existing operating platforms with a goal to identify where gaps exist

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering or Industrial engineering or equivalent and/or 5+ years’ experience in implementing KAIZEN and Lean/6 sigma
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in coordinating a continuous process of change in an organizational environment with Kaizen Coordination
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, and Visio is a must
  • High quality problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Motivated team player, able to also work independently in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Excellent time-management, communication, and organizational skills required.
  • Must possess self-motivation, enthusiasm, a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience in technical writing is considered an asset.
