Looking to join a fast-paced and an ever expanding organization? Be a part of our dynamic team at Performance Auto Group! We are a leading automotive company in Southern Ontario and are currently seeking a Special Finance Manager to join our Performance Finance division team in Oakville, Ontario. 
Reporting to the Group Manager, Special Finance at Performance Auto Group, the Special Finance Manager will grow our business by implementing initiatives to increase subprime leads and sales. Have an exceptional understanding of credit and finance, arrange financing with various lenders, continually follow up on credit applications and negotiate with lenders for approvals. Must have a strong ability to negotiate, sell and consistently close above the group average. As a “hands-on” manager you must possess excellent organizational and relationship building skills. The Subprime Business Manager works with lenders and financial institutions to provide financial services to dealership customers.
Position Requirements:
  • Proven track record in sales; either customer facing or telephone. 
  • High school graduate minimum; post secondary education considered an asset. 
  • Responsible for New and Pre-Owned vehicles financing, selling of warranties, insurances, , vehicle protection and other ancillary products.
  • Completion of all documents, contracts and any related paperwork for delivery, funding and payment along with scheduling vehicles for delivery.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills 
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere, strong work ethic and outstanding attitude and aptitude. 
  • Valid Ontario ‘G’ Driver’s License.
  • Must have a valid OMVIC license or will be required to obtain OMVIC license.
  • Conduct sales in adherence to Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) rules and regulations. 
  • Clean paperwork, great follow-up skills, email proficient and a great self-starting attitude.
  • Automotive financing experience is not required, but is an asset.
  • Must be willing to work a few Saturday shifts, along with evening shifts. 
Here’s what you’ll deliver:
  • Utilize systems and procedures, deliver exceptional customer service on all interactions, give all customers consideration and respect, understand their needs, and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.  
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with customers; establish a good rapport. 
  • 50-100+ calls per day with future and/or existing customers.  
  • Learn and maintain solid product knowledge on manufacturer-specific vehicles and manufacturer-specific rebate, finance and incentive programs.  
  • Maintain a current knowledge of third-party financing options and be able to present such options to customers.  
  • Project a positive attitude for the benefit of our customers and fellow employees.  
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all rules, regulations and procedures as required by the employer.  
  • Work in strict compliance with the Laws of the Province of Ontario and Canada including, but not limited to, Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC),  the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act (MVDA) and the Accessibilities for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).  
  • Ensure that all work performed is thorough, accurate and completed in a timely fashion. This includes the preparation of all documentation, contracts etc. related to the sale / lease of vehicles, accessories and sundry services.  
  • Maintain all reports and records as may be required by the manufacture, dealership management and suppliers.  
  • Attend sponsored training classes as scheduled by management.  
  • Ensure quotes for products and services are competitive and reasonable.  
  • Keep customers updated by phone as to the progress of their vehicle’s delivery.  
  • Establish and maintain strong and professional working relationships with finance companies, banks, manufacture financing centre and suppliers.  
  • Establish and maintain a cooperative and professional relationship with sales management and staff.
